Sloan - Riese marriage - 1911

Married, at the home of the bride's parents, at Dubuque, Tuesday morning, at 6:00 o'clock, Miss Mary Riese, one of Dubuque's most popular young ladies to James Sloan, one of our highly respected young men. Rev. Father Boeding, of the Sacred Heart church officiated in the presence of the relatives of the contracting parties. After congratulations and the wedding breakfast Mr. and Mrs. James Sloan took the train for Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and St. Paul, where they will spend a short time. They will, upon their return, be at home to their many friends at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sloan.
