The marriage of Miss Frances Bock West Third street, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bock of Elkader, to Lawrence Cotton, son of Mrs. Sadie Cotton, Freeport, was quietly celebrated this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the parsonage of St. Mark's Lutheran church. Rev. Badger, pastor, was the officiating clergyman, reading the single ring ceremony before the immediate relatives. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Gifford, this city, aunt and uncle of the bride, were the attendants. Immediately after the ceremony the newlyweds departed for Chicago to spend their honeymoon. They will reside in Freeport after March 1. Mr. Cotton is an employee of the Illinois Central railroad and his bride has been associated with the Central Life Insurance company, this city. - Dubuque Telegraph-Herald of Tuesday, Dec. 21.
