Henkes - Slifka marriage - 1926

HENKES, SLIFKA, SICKLE

Miss Helen Slifka, daughter of Mike Slifka of Cresco and Fred A. Henkes, son of Melvin Henkes also of Cresco, were united in marriage Monday afternoon, December 27th, at five o'clock in the Evangelical parsonage here by Rev. C. H. Franke.

The newlyweds are spending part of their honeymoon here in the home of the groom's sister, Mrs. L. Sickle and will go from here to Dubuque for a short visit before returning to Cresco, near which place they will reside on a farm.

Local friends will join with us in wishing them success and happiness on their journey through life.
