The marriage of Miss Clara C. Lake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lake of Guttenberg, and Mr. Chas. A. Tillia of West Union, took place at St. Mary's Catholic church in this city on Wednesday morning. Rev. Joseph Dupont performed the marriage ceremony in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The couple was attended by Miss C. Tillia, sister of the groom, and Mr. Edward Lake, brother of the bride. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bride is a musician of ability, having been engaged as an instructor of music for the past several years, specializing on piano. The groom is a young man of sterling integrity and worth, and has a position with the Maytag Washing Machine Co. of Newton, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Tillia will make their home at West Union.
