Mrs. Doris Moser and Dewey W. McGirg of West Union were married last Wednesday at Elkader by Rev. Warner of the Congregational church. The wedding was solemnized in the parsonage and witnessed by Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grant, who accompanied them to Elkader. After the wedding they were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Speck and returned to West Union Thursday evening. The bride, a charming young woman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Irvine of Randalia, has been employed in West Union for about two years, serving in Loftus' restaurant and as office girl for Dr. Mercer. The groom is employed by Clyde Grant in his orchestra. Mr. and Mrs. McGirk went Sunday to Marshalltown, which is the first stop of the Iowans on their tour of Southern Iowa. They will be at home in West Union after April 1st.
Elkader Register, Thur., 11 Mar. 1926.
(Note: The surname McGirg/McGirk was spelled both ways in the article, as shown.)
