The marriage of Miss Myrle King and Mr. Louie Schmidt both of this place, occurred at Lyons, Iowa, last Wednesday. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. S. Leamer, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, using the single ring ceremony. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rodefer. After the ceremony a dainty luncheon was served at the Rodefer home. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. King and has always made this place her home. For some time she has assisted in the State Bank and which position she will continue. She is a young lady of marked ability and her training as well as her work is indicative of a high purpose. She has a great many friends who will wish her every happiness. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Schmidt and is a young man with good habits. He was a World War veteran. He is a contractor, being one of the members of Moser & Schmidt. Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt have commenced housekeeping in the grandma King house. They have a great many friends who will sincerely wish for them continued success and prosperity.
