Claude R. Fairweather and Miss Gayle Burgin, both of this place, stole a march on their friends and autoed to Galena, Ill., Wednesday, where they were united in marriage at the parlors of the Justice of Peace, J. P. Bachwell. They were attended by the groom's niece, Miss Eva Fairweather of Edgewood and Howard Rhodies of Strawberry Point. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burgin four miles northeast of town. She attended the Edgewood high school. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fairweather and graduated from the Strawberry Point public school in 1929. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Fairweather returned here to the home of the groom's parents where they will reside.
