St. Olaf: The Clayton Center church was the scene of a beautiful wedding Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 26, when Miss Elsie Ihde, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ihde of St. Olaf was united in marriage to Harold Wilker, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilker, also of St. Olaf. The couple was attended by Florence Ihde of St. Olaf and Lawrence Radloff of Farmersburg. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Charley Gossman, and Rev. Korte performed the double ring ceremony.
A five o'clock, three course dinner was served to fifteen guests at the bride's home. The Misses Alma Rugland, Irene Glawe, Laverne Breitsprecher and Mabel Hoffman were table waitresses. After the dinner a shower was held at the St. Olaf Opera House. A large crowd was gathered and the evening was spent in dancing to the music of Freddie's Syncopaters.
The couple took a brief wedding trip and are now residing on the Wilker farm between Clayton Center and St. Olaf.
