--- --- ---

On Thursday of last week at the Congregational parsonage, at Elkader, Rev. G. W. Baxter being the officiating clergyman, occurred the marriage of Miss Marion Duff of Marrow, Kansas, and Fred J. Smith, of Volga. The young lady, until this winter, followed the profession of school teaching, and the young gentleman is a promising farmer. Last summer he purchased a farm about two and one-half miles northwest of Volga where he and his bride will make their future home. Many friends join in wishing this newly married couple a prosperous life. May their joys be many, their sorrows few.
