Tangeman - Jahnke Marriage - 1901

TANGEMAN, JAHNKE

Married, last week, Wednesday at the home of William Jahnke and wife, their daughter Louise, to George Tangeman. Clara Dettman, a friend of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and Aerny, a brother of the groom, acted as groomsman. Only the nearest relatives were present to witness the impressive ceremony which was performed by Rev. Sommerlad. The young couple departed for Dubuque on the afternoon train and upon their return were heartily welcomed and serenaded at their new home by the Garnavillo Cornet Band. Both are highly esteemed by a large number of friends and all join in wishing them a long and a happy wedded life.
