Married - At the home of Jacob Stemmer in Elkader, Iowa, on the 15th of April, 1878, by Rev. F. Siefert, Mr. August Ruegnitz, of Elkader, and Miss Josephine Scherr, of Elkader.

May August and his fair bride enjoy the richest of blessings and be crowned with innumerable joys. The happy pair take up their residence at Clayton, August commencing business for himself in that thriving little town, on the first of May. May prosperity attend him.

Elkader Register, Thur., 18 Apr. 1878.
