Monona: On Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11:30 a.m., in the Lutheran church at Monona occurred the marriage of a popular young couple. At this time Miss Margaret Palas, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Palas of Luana, and Mr. Philmon Engelhardt, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Engelhardt of Monona, were united in holy wedlock. The Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride entered on the arm of her brother, Mr. Arthur Palas, who gave her in marriage. The couple was attended by Miss Florence Pauline Aulerich and Mr. Otmar Bruns, friends of the couple.
After the ceremony a delicious three-course dinner was served to thirty guests at the Arthur Palas home.
The bride is a graduate of the Luana high school with the class of 1933, and a fine and charming young lady. The groom is an industrious young man who has been assisting his father on the latter's farms for the past few years.
After December 1st, the young couple will be at home to their friends on the John Engelhardt farm southeast of Monona.
