On Saturday, August 17, at six o'clock, the silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. George Katschkowsky, their daughter, Miss Laurine, became the bride of Herbert Engel of Chicago, at a candlelight service performed at the Evangelical church, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating.
The bridal party consisted of Mr. Bennie Plahn of Chicago, Mr. Robert Carl Katschkowsky, brother of the bride, as ushers, Miss Nellita Engel of Chicago as bridesmaid, Miss Regina Coarson of Chicago as maid of honor, Mr. Wilbur Engle, of Fond du Lac, Wis., brother of the groom, as groomsman. Mrs. Robert Morse, soprano, an aunt of the bride sang "Because" preceding the single ring service, at the conclusion Mrs. Morse sang "Beloved, It Is Morn." The ceremony was unusually beautiful and impressive.
