Schrampfer - Jacobs marriage - 1935

Wednesday afternoon at the St. Paul's Lutheran church of McGregor the wedding of Miss Cordie Jacobs and George Schrampfer took place. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. F. Glock, brother-in-law of the bride. Twenty relatives and friends were present. Miss Lorena Lestina and Arnold Corlett were the attendants. A supper was served the wedding party at the home of the bridegroom's parents on Evergreen Hill, south of town. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jacob of DeSoti, Mo., and has recently made her home with her sister, Mrs. H. F. Glock. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Elkader high school and for the past several years has been employed with his father in operating a dairy farm on Evergreen Hill. His father recently has retired and George is now manager. The young couple will make their home on the farm.
