Meyer - Bissell marriage - 1935

Turkey River: Miss Rose Bissell and Albert Meyer, both of this place, were married at Dubuque last Wednesday afternoon. Miss LaVerne Meyer, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and John Benskin of McGregor, friend of the couple, was best man.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bissell of Edgewood and the groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer of this place. They will live at Guttenberg, where the groom expects to work on the dam.

A wedding supper was served at the home of the groom's parents for the close relatives. A reception and shower was given in their honor at the hall in Millville Saturday night, and they received many pretty and useful gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer have the best wishes of their many friends for a long and happy wedded life.
