Sylvester - Putzier marriage - 1935

Miss Hazel Putzier, daughter of Mrs. Gusta Putzier of Guttenberg, Iowa, and Dale Sylvester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sylvester of Strawberry Point, Iowa, were united in marriage Thursday noon by Judge Charles Cook of Galena, Ill. The couple was attended by Miss Elinor Sylvester, sister of the groom, and Bernard Kellogg, both of Strawberry Point.

In the evening a wedding dance and shower was given in honor of the newlyweds at Garber hall. Plans were made to accommodate at least 800 people but the evening being very rainy a smaller crowd turned out, approximately 300.
