Burlingame, Sr., Elkader, and James Russell Sorensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herluf Sorensen, Monona, were married at 9 o'clock Thursday morning, Jan. 27, at St. Joseph's church in Elkader. The Very Rev. B. H. Skahill officiated at the double ring ceremony and nuptial mass.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the Vets club to the wedding party and immediate families. In the afternoon a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. A large wedding cake centered the bride's table. Mrs. W. B. Fassbinder, Mrs. M. J. Poull, Mrs. Fred Seybert and Mrs. M. H. McTaggart presided at the table.
The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph high school and has since been employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. Her husband is a graduate of Monona public school, served twenty-eight months in the United States Navy, and is at present a student at Loras College, Dubuque.
The couple will be at home in Dubuque after Feb. 3.
