Barr - Miller marriage - 1924

Paul Barr of this place and Miss Marie of Iowa City were united in marriage at Iowa City the 17th of last Sept. The event was kept so quiet that the friends of the couple knew nothing of it until last week. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Barr of this place, and a student of the S.I.U. He is an industrious and very likable young man. The bride of Iowa City is a stranger and is also attending the S.I.U. From report coming from her hometown she has hosts of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Barr are still attending college at Iowa City and have commenced housekeeping. We join with friends in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.
