At eight o'clock Thursday morning June 26 at the St. Patrick's church of Monona, Father McNamara united in marriage Miss Mary Land of Luana and Mr. Michael Kane, oldest son of Mrs. Mary Kane of Monona, using the double ring ceremony. Mrs. J. F. Carroll of Monona played the wedding march and sang "Oh, Promise Me" and "I Love You, Dear" accompanied by Miss Marie Foss on the violin.
The bride wore a white Canton crepe (next line blurred) veil was arranged in Lucille cap fashion held in place by a band of pearl ornaments. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and ferns. The groom wore a dark blue suit. After the ceremony about 25 guests were given a wedding dinner at the home of the bride's parents. The rooms were very prettily decorated with flowers. They were remembered with many nice and useful gifts.
