A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Huckstadt Wednesday February 20th, when their daughter Hilda was united in marriage to Fritz Schroeder of Wagner township. Promptly at 6 o'clock to a wedding march rendered by Mrs. James Mathews Jr. the bridal couple and their attendants took the places under an arch in the parlor after which Rev. Peiper of the Lutheran church officiated using the double ring ceremony. The bride wore a dress of white Canton crepe, trimmed with Spanish lace. She wore a veil in cap effect held in place with ferns and fusias, and carried a bouquet of roses, ferns and fusias. Her attendant was her sister Emma and she wore a dress of Copenhagen Canton Crepe and carried a bunch of carnations and sweet peas. The groom and his attendant, Glen Walter, wore dark brown suits.
The house was beautifully decorated with portiers and light shades of white crepe paper and light blue baby ribbons.
The tables were also decorated with draperies of crepe paper and ribbons. The center pieces were of pink carnations and feras. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to about eighty relatives and friends. They received many beautiful presents. They will be at home to their friends after March 1st on the August Schroeder farm. We extend congratulations.
