Last Wednesday morning at the Sacred Heart church occurred the marriage of Miss Mary DeWitte and Mr. Frank O'Brien, Rev. Casey performing the ceremony and celebrating the Nuptial High Mass. They were attended by the bride's sister, Miss Emma DeWitte, and the groom's brother, George O'Brien. Mrs. Ed. Quinn played the wedding march. The bride wore a corsage bouquet. After the wedding the bridal party and guests went to the home of the bride's parents where there was feasting and merrymaking.
The bride is a popular daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter DeWitte. She has a large circle of friends who will wish her the best of life's joys in her home. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim O'Brien and is a young farmer with good morals and is well worthy of the bride of his choice. Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien are spending their honeymoon in Dubuque and after their return will be at home on the Stence farm near Elkader. Their many friends wish them much joy and a long and happy wedded life.
