Posted By: Reid R. Johnson (email)

Jake Franks and Perry Bolsinger, two farmers of Mallory township, got into an altercation last Saturday afternoon over a difference in charges for some work which Franks had done for Bolsinger. The result was a chewing match in which Franks lost a portion of his right ear and also received other teeth wounds about his face, besides one of his fingers was chewed up quite badly.

Elkader Register, Thur., 13 Sept. 1906. Guttenberg column.
