Davis - Smith marriage - 1906

A pretty little wedding was held at the residence of Fred Smith in this township, Wednesday morning, Sept. 12th, when his daughter, Miss Hattie, was united in marriage with Fred E. Davis, of Strawberry Point. Rev. A. S. Hock officiated in the presence of relatives. The groom is a prosperous young farmer located on a farm near Strawberry Point. The bride is well known in and about Elkader as a young lady of excellent qualities. The well wishes of a multitude of friends go with her to her new home. The bridal party left on the train for a short trip.
