Braun - Schreiber marriage - 1901

Prof. Adolph Braun, of the German department, of the Elkader schools, surprised his friends last week by sending them cards announcing that he had taken unto himself a wife, Miss Ella Schreiber, of Milwaukee. The professor had evidently been making the best of his vacation. The young couple arrived Saturday evening and are at home in West Elkader. They have congratulations of the professor's Elkader friends and their best wishes for a happy life. A musical welcome was accorded them by Gesang Verin Saturday evening and also by the Elkader band Monday evening.
