At St. Joseph's church, at this place, early Wednesday morning, occurred the marriage of J. C. Foley, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Miss Katie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Losch, of Elkader. Rev. J. F. Reilly, rector of the church, officiated in the presence of a number of the friends of the contracting parties. James McLaughlin, of McGregor, and Miss Anna Hyde, of Elkader, served as best man and bride's maid.
After the ceremony the bridal party returned to the home of the bride's parents, where a wedding breakfast had been prepared. During the forenoon a reception was given the happy couple, which was largely attended.
The groom formerly resided here, but is now located at Cheyenne, Wyo., where he has a prosperous business, being the president of the Geyser Laundry Co. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Losch, and is one among the many accomplished and worthy young ladies of our town, possessing in her own right a large circle of friends. This is amply attested by the exceedingly large list of useful and ornamental presents received.
Mr. and Mrs. Foley drove to Osborne and took the train for a tour among the mountains of Colorado, making Denver for their first visit. The hearty congratulations and good wishes of many friends attend them.
Elkader Register, Thur., 7 June 1906.
