Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 16th, a pretty home wedding took place at the C. A. Dettman home when Eleanor Dettman became the wife of John H. Flagel, of Osterdock, Rev. W. K. Braun performing the ceremony. At four o'clock, after the relatives and friends of the bride and groom had assembled, the bridal party entered the room to the strains of the wedding march rendered by Dora Ponsar, and took their places amid the beautiful decorations of roses, carnations and ferns when the words which united them were pronounced. Congratulations were then received after which the bridal pair with their guests, repaired to the dining room where a beautiful supper awaited them. The evening was delightfully passed in dancing, card-playing, etc. The bride was becomingly attired in pale blue silk, wearing a veil and carried pink roses and ferns, presenting a charming appearance. She was attended by her sister, Miss Clara. The groom, attended by his brother Louis, wore the conventional black. The bride is the third daughter of C. A. Dettman and wife and is one of our most popular young ladies. Her large circle of friends wish them a life of unalloyed bliss. She has been a successful teacher in our country schools for the past four years, where she will be greatly missed. The groom is a progressive farmer, well known and liked by all his associates. They will be at home to their many friends on a farm near Osterdock.
