A pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Jenkins, Sr., last evening at 8 o'clock, witnessed by a score of relatives and friends of the contracting parties. Rev. Williams, pastor of the M.E. church, performed the ceremony which united Miss DeEtte Leland Jenkins and Mr. Lloyd Scott Ernst in the holy bonds of matrimony. The guests were received by Mrs. Frank Sherman, Misses Irene Entwisle and Mary Grube. The decorations of the parlors were in pink and white, the handywork of relatives and friends of the bride. The traditional bell was hung in the southeast corner of the main parlor, under which the bridal party stood during the ceremony and where they received following the wedding supper.

Elkader Register, Thur., 25 Jan. 1906. Monona column.
