Elkader Register, Fri., 6 Oct. 1882.
At the residence of the bride's parents in Elkader, on Thursday, October 5th, 1882, by Rev. J. S. McIntyre, Mr. Chas. Adams, of Mitchell, Dakota, to Miss Sarah Grotewohl, of Elkader.
The above announcement while it will be no surprise to a majority of our readers, will elicit the hearty congratulations of all, for it was a "consummation devoutly to be wished," and while we regret to see one of Elkader's fairest daughters taken from among us, we can extend to the newly wedded couple our hearty congratulations for future success and happiness; may time pass them ever lightly, leaving them always young and happy.
The bride is the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Grotewohl, and has a host of friends in and about Elkader, won to her by her lady like ways and accomplishments, of which she possesses many.
The groom is also too well known in Elkader to need any introduction at our hands, having formerly resided here, and gained the respect of all for his straight forward manner, both in business and society. Our only regret is that they cannot find it to their interests to remain in Elkader.
