Gehring - Clark, marriage 1882

Elkader Register, Fri., 24 Nov. 1882.

On Saturday last, at the residence of Mr. Milo P. Clark, in Wagner township, occurred a very pleasant and happy affair, being the marriage of his daughter Mary, to Mr. Jacob Gehring, of Elgin. A few personal friends were present, and the knot was tied by Albert Peterson, J.P., after which came the usual congratulations.

The bride and groom are well known, and have a large circle of friends, won to them by their pleasant manners and many virtues. They will have the best wishes of all, including the Register force, for a long and happy wedded life
