From a card received by Mr. Louis Schroeder, we learn that Dr. S. A. Bass, of Elkader, was united in marriage on the 1_th inst., to Miss Clara S., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Fowler, of Livonia, N.Y., the ceremony taking place at the residence of the bride's parents. The doctor came to Elkader something over a year ago, and by his many good personal qualities and professional skill, has won the respect and esteem of our citizens generally, and withal quite a large practice. The bride is spoken of with great favor by those of her acquaintance. The Doctor and Mrs. Bass have our hearty congratulations, and we bespeak for the young couple a cordial welcome in the social circles of Elkader. They will arrive here by the first of the next week, and will be the guests of Landlord Schroeder for the present.
