Elkader Register, Fri., 8 Dec. 1882.
At the residence of Mrs. J. F. Campbell, near Volga City, on the 29th ult., occurred a very happy event, being the marriage of Mrs. Campbell's only daughter, Fanny, to Mr. Thomas D. Landon.
A number of invited guests and relatives were present, and witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. J. G. Whitford, in his usual impressive manner.
After the ceremony came congratulations from those present, and a bountiful feast of good things, prepared by the bride's mother.
Both bride and groom are well known in Volga City, where they have a host of friends, won to them by their pleasant ways and many virtues. Those present brought with them a number of ornamental and useful presents.
(note: There followed a list of presents.)
