Probably the last December wedding of 1903 at this place occurred Wednesday at high noon, at the home of the bride's parents, Wm. Steele and wife, when their only child, Norma, became the wife of Edwin A. Horsefield, of St. Louis, Rev. O. C. DePuy officiating in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends. Following the ceremony refreshments were served at the home of the bride's parents. The bride is a charming young lady whose friends are found everywhere. The groom is a stranger to the writer but we learn that he is employed in the street car work in St. Louis and comes to us as a son of one of the best known families in that city. They departed in the evening for St. Louis, which will be their future home. We are sorry to lose Mrs. Horsefield as she has always been one of our girls whose presence will be missed but we wish them God speed through the journey of life.
