Taake - Buckman Marriage 1903

Thursday, Dec. 3rd, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Buckman, in Read township, occurred the marriage of August Taake to Miss Lucy Buckman in the presence of a large assembly of friends and relatives.

Rev. F. W. Seifert pronounced the fateful words which united the young couple. The groom was attended by Henry Wolf and Herman Otting, the bride by her sister Sarah and Luella Hammann.

After the ceremony a fine wedding dinner was served, which was the beginning of a happy celebration which lasted until the early hours of the morning.

August and Lucy are highly respected young people and begin their wedded life with the best wishes of a host of friends. They will live on the Wm. Taake farm near Read.
