Monday evening's train brought to the city Mr. W. C. Veeder, of Belmond, Ia., and Miss Louisa W. Massmann, of Muscoda, Wis., in search of a marriage license and a clergyman. Both found, they were quietly married at the Hotel Bayless, Rev. Baxter of the Congregational church officiating.
Mr. Veeder is a prosperous young farmer, owning considerable land around Belmond and engaged extensively in raising fine stock.
Miss Massmann is a beautiful daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Massmann, a fine family. She possesses the many good qualities that makes her in every respect worthy of the good home she has won. We predict for them a happy and prosperous married life. They left on the early train Tuesday morning for Belmond, their future home.
