Elkader Register, Fri., 29 April 1881. Elkport Locals column.

Married- At Elkport, April 26th, 1881, by J. W. Stahl, J.P., Conrad Schnepf to Miss Melinda Stiefel, all of Elkport.

The bride is the daughter of C. Stiefel, of this township and is highly respected by all, for her good qualities.

Mr. Schnepf is one of Elkport's rising young business men and is worthy of the fair bride he has won.

After the ceremony, the happy couple took the train for Dubuque, so as to be at the Odd Fellows celebration. In the evening they were serenaded by the Elkport band, also by the boys. "Co NY" done the handsome thing by the boys and all went away happy.

The young couple have many friends, who wish them a long and prosperous journey through life.
