Elkader Register, Fri., 25 Feb. 1881. Guttenberg Gatherings column, extracted from a longer article.

On the 17th inst., the Lutheran church was the scene of a very pleasant affair, being the marriage of Mr. Henry Vlotho, of LeMars, Iowa, but formerly of Guttenberg, to Miss Emma Dittmer of this city.

Long before the hour fixed for the ceremony, every available seat in the church was occupied. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Vlotho repaired to Lake's Hall, where over four hundred invited guests were assembled.

Mr. and Mrs. V. will visit relatives here for a short while, and then depart for their home at LeMars. They have the best wishes of all for a long and happy life.
