QUAKENBUSH, LAWTON

Married, at the residence of the bride’s mother, in Vinton, Iowa, March 24th, 1871, by the Rev. J. W. Crawford, Mr. Alfred Quakenbush and Miss L. P. Lawton, both of Dubuque, Iowa.

It is seldom we are called on to record such an event like the above, which gives us as much real pleasure as the marriage of our estimable friend Quakenbush, a gentleman of much more than ordinary attainments and culture, and one of such strict integrity and uprightness that we are proud to number him as one of our dearest friends.

And we rejoice that his fate has brought him into a life union with one of life’s purest and most precious gems, a loving, amiable and accomplished wife! Here are our warmest congratulations Alf.! An eternity of unalloyed bliss!
