Elkader Register, Fri., 4 Mar. 1881. Extracted from a very long article, including a long list of presents and who given by.

Last Thursday eve, February 24th, a large number of invited guests convened at the residence of Mrs. E. J. Squires, of this place, to witness the marriage of her daughter Katie H., to Frank J. Newberry, junior editor of the Press. The ceremony performed by Rev. B. M. Amsden of Manchester.

The bride is one of Strawberry Point's fairest ladies, while the groom is well connected with the Press, is steady and chuck full of days work, which ought to be sufficient passport to all good society. The happy pair took the evening train for a visit to Milwaukee and Chicago.
