Elkader Register, Fri., 15 Apr. 1881. Osterdock Locals column.

Mr. B. F. Riegel and Miss Minnie Kickbush, both of Osterdock, were married on Sunday afternoon, at the residence of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by J. H. Hill, J.P., and witnessed by a large concourse of friends, after which music and a little of something "for the stomach's sake" were introduced and a "good time generally" was indulged in until the "wee hours", and it was even insinuated that some of the guests made crooked tracks on their way home, probably to avoid the mud.
