Hass-Hook, marriage 1925

Elkader Register, Thur., 19 Nov. 1925.

Wednesday afternoon, November 18th at 2:00 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Sabbann at Elkader, occurred the marriage of Miss Dillis D. Hook, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hook of this place to Mr. Albert J. P. Hass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hass, of Andover, Iowa.

They were attended by Miss Florence Hass, sister of the groom, and Floyd Hook, brother of the bride. Miss Dolores Sabann was flower girl.

The relatives in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. John Hook and son Floyd, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hass and daughter Florence, Mrs. Maria Kluth, Wm. Kluth, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Sabbann and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Kluth, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kluth and family.

The young couple left this forenoon for Andover, Iowa, where they will make their home.

Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 18th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Sabbann at Elkader, occurred the marriage of Miss Dillis D. Hook, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hook of this place, to Mr. Albert J. P. Hass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hass of Andover, Iowa. Rev. C. H. Franke officiated. They were attended by Miss Florence Hass, sister of the groom, and Floyd Hook, brother of the bride. Miss Dolores Sabbann was flower girl. The bride grew to womanhood here in Elkader and graduated from the Elkader High School with the class of 1923. She taught school during the 1923-1924 school year. The groom was employed here during 1924 with a road construction crew. The relatives at the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. John Hook and son Floyd; Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hass and daughter Florence; Mrs. Maria Kluth, Wm. Kluth, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Sabbann and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gearge Kluth, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kluth and family. The young couple will make their home at Andover, Iowa.
