CHESLEY, PHILIPS

Married in Elkader, April 19th 1861, by Rev. T. More, Norman Chesley, Esq., of Monona, and Miss Lucy A. Philips of Volga City.

This announcement will be read with pleasure by many of our readers. Mr. Chesley is known all over the county as a lawyer of uncommon abilities, a fine scholar, and a man possessing a geniality that at once attaches him to all who become acquainted with him.

The lady that has now become Mrs. Chesley, is young, handsome, and accomplished, and we believe will be a fond and loving wife to him.

The couple have not only our best wishes for their future prosperity and happiness, but also those of innumerable friends. May their journey through life be on continuous sea of happiness, that, like the day upon which they were married, the horizon of their future may not be shaded by a single could of adversity.
