Married in this place on Sunday, the 17th of June, by Justice Snedigar, Mr. R. Davidson to Miss Louisa Haislet, both of McGregor.

Thus they step one by one, into the bonds of matrimony. But a short time ago they were little boys and girls, now they are men and women! Truly, this is a strange world. “Life is but a walking shadow,” Shakespeare says.

However it be, we congratulate the happy couple on their new life. May their voyage through life be a happy and pleasant one, and may they realize how much better double-blessedness than single-blessedness is!

MARRIED - At the Davis House, Elkader, Sunday, June 17th, 1860, by F. Snedigar, Esq., Mr. Rayen Davidson to Miss Louisa Haislet, both of McGregor.

The cake and etceteras, accompanied this above notice. It is seldom our province to chronicle a match which we can so entirely approve, as this one. The parties are long-time acquaintances, young and steady and seem so well suited to each other, that we expect they will hardly meet an adverse gale on the sea of life. If our wishes for their prosperity could avail, God knows their "basket and store" would be filled with the abundance of scriptural measures.
