Baumgartner - Meyer marriage 1896

Last week Wednesday evening, Feb. 26, occurred the marriage of Mr. Joseph Baumgartner and Miss Rosa Meyer at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Meyer, in Marion township, Clayton county, Iowa. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Hack, of Elgin, and was witnessed by a large concourse of relatives and friends. A bounteous wedding supper was spread and everyone present enjoyed themselves. Joseph is one of Clayton county's most prosperous young farmers and the bride is the model daughter of Christian Meyer and wife. No words of commendation need be spoken of her, she is so well and favorably known by all our readers. Everyone wishes this young couple a long and happy life.- Elgin Echo, Thur., 5 March 1896.
