Word was received here yesterday of the death of Mrs. Frank J. Hanson, who was accidentally injured at Decorah last week. Mr. and Mrs. Hanson were driving a single rig Wednesday afternoon of last week, when the single-tree broke and Mrs. Hanson, who had the reins, was pulled out of the rig. Mr. Hanson attempted to grab her but was also pulled from the rig. Mrs. Hanson struck on her head and was rendered unconscious. Sunday evening, as she had not yet regained consciousness, she was taken to Rochester, Minn., in the hopes that an operation might save her life, but it was unavailing and she passed away yesterday morning. Adolph Eberhart left yesterday morning for Rochester and we understand that Mrs. Hanson was brought back to Decorah today. It is a sad case. Mrs. Hanson was well known here as Louise Steyer as she made her home for some time with her aunt, Mrs. Stich, of this place, and all sympathize deeply with the stricken family and friends.
