A pretty wedding occurred Tuesday morning, October 29th, at Sacred Heart church in Cox Creek, when Rev. Father Hartigan, assisted by Rev. Father Hogan, of Monona, united in marriage Ella M. Dunn and John F. Looney. The bride was attended by her sister Winnifred and the groom by his brother Edward. Miss Katherine McDermott played the Mendelssohn wedding march. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dunn of Elkader, and the groom a son of Mrs. Thos. Looney of postville, both being well and favorably known by a large circle of friends for their many good qualities. Following the ceremony a four-course wedding breakfast was served at the bride's home. And after customary congratulations the young couple left on the afternoon train for Minneapolis and on their return home will reside on a farm in Grand Meadow township.- Postville Review, Fri., 8 Nov. 1912.
