Ted Rippy and "Ike" Thiese, both of Guttenberg, were fined $14 each in justice court Monday on convictions on charges of carrying loaded weapons in an automobile. They were arrested Sunday by Conservation Officer Harlan Franco of Elkader.
Elkport, Iowa -- Mrs. Merlin Rutledge has been appointed postmaster, effective December 27, 1958. She succeeds Stella D. Groth, who resigned last March and moved to Colesburg.
