Cayler / Caylor - Aulerich marriage, 1939

At St. Paul's German Lutheran church in Monona, Iowa, last Wednesday occurred the marriage of Miss Vara Aulerich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Aulerich of that place to Mr. Lawrence
Cayler, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Cayler of Dolliver. The Rev. Seversen officiated using the double ring ceremony. The bride was attired in a floor length white satin dress with white silk net veil held in place by a band of pearls and wore a gold locket, a gift of the groom. Mrs. Lyle Kilgore of Estherville who attended the bride wore peach colored net with orchid sash, pearl clips and matching bracelet. The bridesmaids Misses Dorlene Aulerich and Mardella Aulerich wore Copenhagen blue and rose colored taffeta, respectively, made with hoop skirt and wore hats to match. The groom and his attendant Mr. Lyle Kilgore of Estherville wore white rose bouttonieres. The bride's bouquet was of white roses and ferns and the bridesmaids carried bouquets of white snapdragons with ferns.

MONONA: Wednesday, in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Miss Vera Aulerich was married to Lawrence Caylor, the Rev. H. W. Siefkes officiating. Matron of honor was Mrs. L. E. Kilgore of Estherville, and Dorlene Aulerich and Mardella Aulerich, cousin and niece of the bride, acted as bridesmaids. Attending the groom was his brother-in-law, L. E. Kilgore, of Estherville. Palmer Brownson of Farmersburg, and Duane Anderson of Estherville, nephews of the contracting parties, were ushers.

Mrs. Caylor is a graduate of the Luana high school and Iowa State college, and for the past seven years taught in the Farmersburg, Dolliver and Estherville high schools. She is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. J. Aulerich of Monona Her husband is a graduate of the Dolliver high school and attended Estherville junior college. He is the son of Mrs. Ruth Caylor of Spirit Lake.

After Oct. 01 they will be at home on the groom's farm near Spirit Lake.
