Wedding certificate:

Groom: Henry Palas Sr.
Bride: Emma Buckman

Witnesses: H. Buckman and F. Palas (F. Palas is likely Fred Palas).

The marriage took place in Garnavillo, Iowa. Performed by Rev. F. Sommerstad, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran.
Marriage date: February 25, 1898.
Marriage was registered on March 1, 1898.
The groom and the bride were 26 and 21 years of age and born in Farmersburg Township.
Parents of the bride were John Buckman and Fredericka Otting
Parents of the groom were John Palas and Caroline Voss.

This photo (below) just surfaced and we are at a lost as to who H. Buckman is. H. Buckman could be a cousin as the Palas family helped with the bringing of a Buckman family to the USA.
