THE STATE OF IOWA, Delaware County, ss:
I, John Armstrong do solemnly swear that I am acquainted with Phillip Hancel of Clayton Co., Iowa, that he is at least 21 years of age; and that I am acquainted with Elmira Armstrong, od Delaware County, Iowa; that she is at least 18 years of age...

Subscribed an sworn to before me, this 5th day of December A. D. 1885. H. C. Jackson, Clerk of the Court.

License Issued for the Marriage of Phillip Hancel and Elmira Armstrong on the testimony of John Armstrong.

CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE.
To The Circuit Court of Delaware County:
This certifies, That on the 6th day of December A.D. 1885, at Delhi in said county, according to laws and by authority, I duly Joined in Marriage Phillip Hancel and Elmire Armstrong.
