Joseph and Anna Burr Felder Family
Joseph Felder was born Jan. 13, 1864 in Glen Haven, Wis., and died Feb. 13, 1952 in Dubuque.
He was the son of Theodore Felder, who was born Feb. 19, 1823 in Hopporachus, Germany, and died December 17, 1886 in Guttenberg and Julia Schaller-Heitman Felder who was born July 21, 1841 in Cincinnati, Ohio; was orphaned and married first to Gerhardt Heitman.
Julia and Gerhardt had two sons, Henry and August. August was legally adopted by Joseph and Mary Huene after his father drowned in the Mississippi River at Guttenberg in 1861.
Julia subsequently married Theodore Felder who had come to the U.S. in 1856. They had 10 children: Joseph, Anna Kirschbaum, John, Mary Hampton, Frank, Susie Stoeffler, Peter, Philomena Westemeyer, William and Matilda "Tillie."
Julia died July 30, 1907, also in Guttenberg.
